Recuerdos Imaginarios
Quartet for Flute, Oboe, Guitar & 'Cello (1996)

Written for a quartet of talented high school students, the title roughly translates as "Imaginary Memories". I thought it would be fun to write them some Spanish influenced pieces, but not having been to Spain (at the time), I didn't have any real memories...

The quartet had a couple - the guitarist and cellist were dating. The second movement's prominent duet was for them.

Performed by the Musicians of Wall Street.
